Every now and again, I find myself stopping and thinking, “Wow. I am incredibly fortunate to be married to this man.” He’s just so perfect for me. Today I found some proof as to why he’s so great.
It all began this morning. I was in the bathroom getting ready for the day when I shouted, “Babe, I’m sending you a message in my mind, do you know what it is?” (Sounds weird, but whatever. It’s not a regular thing.) He replied, “Ok, I’ll bring you some coffee.” Which is exactly what I was hoping he’d do.
Then there was some of this:
And some of this:
Then he got out our food processor which was a wedding gift almost one year ago and figured the thing out. (The 50 minute DVD was enough to scare me away). He made basil pesto with fresh basil from our garden. The results were amazing.
Next, he proceeded to make salsa with our overwhelming amount of tomatos, also from our garden.
Finally, he made me dinner. “I was just thinking, why not take the chicken breast, butterfly cut it and stuff it with parmesan cheese and asparagus.”
Yeah, I feel pretty lucky.
Remember this?
My sister-in-law called me after her doctors appointment today to tell me their baby’s gender…
Jenny: Do you think you’re going to have a new niece or nephew?
Me: Is it going to be a girl?
J: Yes!
Me: Woooooooo!!! HOOO!!!
I got a little teared up with joy and danced a little jig after I hung up the phone. I can’t wait!!! Oh a sweet little baby girl. Sigh.
