So I’ve been debating for months and months… Should I keep my hair long or cut it super short? (Debate discussed here). It’s only a hard choice because I don’t think I want anything in the mid-range.

Well last weekend I went to a bar even farther out than my small rural hometown. It was the kind of bar that had a sign that read, “Free beer tomorrow.” and sold snowmobile oil next to the popcorn (no joke, I wish I had a picture).

This older (late 50’s-ish?) man wearing a mustache and an Indiana Jones hat came up to me on his way out the door. He said, “I’m not sure how to say this…  but… your hair… It’s like what I see in magazines.” And he was serious. 

So even though I was embarrassed, red-cheeked, and a little creeped out, I decided “magazine hair” ought to stick around a little while longer. (Even if it was creeper advice)
